The goal of  the "Green Team" site is to share ways our students and staff are conserving energy and to make people aware of the numerous ways to conserve energy.

We will be posting the winners of Kayla's Challenge (See Kayla's Challenge below) indicating what the winning student did to conserve energy and the winner's picture.

Kayla's Challenge

As result of our first "green initiative," "Lights out at Central," a 4th grade student at Central name Kayla, took the concept of being green seriously and developed "Kayla's Challenge."  Kayla contacted McDonald's and asked if they would donate a lunch a month as a raffle prize for the student picked from a pool of students who submit a piece of a paper explaining what he/she did to conserve energy.  McDonald's was impressed by her initiative and gladly donated a lunch a month.  Our first winner was selected just before Christmas break.
